Lucy's Cafe and Bakery was founded by Lucy Terry who had a dream to bring a dining experience different than what her city already had to offer. Her dream was of a cafe that had an open kitchen concept where the kitchen staff and diners could visit as they prepared their food. Lucy knew that food is always better shared with family and friends and that the open kitchen would build relationships that would last for years.  Food was to be made from scratch fresh daily and served in a dining room that was designed to feel inviting as well as if you had stepped into a larger city. The dream became a reality in 2000.  Due to an outstanding response from customers, Lucy's would have to  expand  2 more times to accommodate the daily crowds. For the years to come Lucy's Cafe & Bakery would go on to win numerous awards many times such as Best Desserts, Best Lunch, Best Dining Atmosphere, Best Sandwich and Best cook.  Lucy's also won "Best Pie in Southeast Texas" with her one of a kind Strawberry Pie.  Due to the growing demand for more carry out food,  Lucy decided to expand and add Lucy's Market in 2021.  The Market was an instant hit with locals as it offered ready to eat grab and go meals, bakery items, specialty gifts and gourmet foods.  We hope we have created a place that you will fall in love with, and invite you to "Come sit at our Table"!
